As Douglas always advocated the use of bits instead of atoms, the photograph and text from the printed order of service were released online to coincide with a private funeral held at 3pm on 16th May. The Digital Village as a registered company has ceased to exist. However, as a group of people who loved and worked with Douglas Adams, The Digital Village will continue for a long time. Then I accidentally wrote a best-selling novel and the consequence was that I had to write another and then another. After a decade or so of this I became a little crazed at the thought of spending an entire working life sitting in a room by myself typing. I needed to do a bit of crop rotation.
