Ever since landing the first quadruple jump ever seen in competition during the 1997 season, Weiss has emerged as one of the country's top skaters. He has won three national titles, and placed second at the State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships this year. Weiss hopes to glide through the competition at the World Championships in Germany starting March 25. In his free time, Weiss works with various charities, including the Special Olympics, where he works with special-needs individuals to learn skating and other aspects of recreation. Many people are e-mailing me about the version of "Reflection" that Michelle skates to. It is not the version that is on the soundtrack, or in the movie. Someone that knows Lea Salonga, the singer of "Reflection", told me that Disney decided to cut it from the film (don't know why.) In fact, Lea didn't even have a copy of it until Disney sent her one about a month ago. However, when she promotes the film and has to sing the song live, she sings the long version. Her friend did not think it would be available as a single. The whole point of the special was to promote the movie, Mulan . If you would like, you can check out my review of the movie (which turned out to be my favorite summer movie!) Here are the final ratings for the Friday airing of "Reflections on Ice." The ratings were a 4.2 and a 9 share. So, approximately 6.7 million views watched the show. It was ranked 82 out of 116 shows, and was tied with Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. He could have hung up his world and national medals on a mantle in his home in McLean, chalked up his two trips to the Olympics as memorable moments and been gone. Before the last Olympics in Salt Lake City, where Weiss placed seventh, those thoughts admittedly crept into his mind. After the Games, however, he began to think otherwise. It would be difficult after years of competing to suddenly stop. Shortly after finishing sixth in the world championships, while he was in the midst of a rigorous, 86-city tour, he realized that his competitive skating career was not over. "I still have that competitive fire," said Weiss, 26, who will skate in his first major event of the season this week at Skate America in Spokane, Wash. "I still don't know how many more years I'll skate. I could stay another four years. I'm not really sure." In order to keep Weiss motivated for perhaps a third Olympic run or, at the very least, a trip to the world championships, which will be held in March at MCI Center longtime coach Audrey Weisiger concocted a wide-ranging plan filled with all sorts of tricks and changes.

This! Caption This! returned for the 2003 off-season. As was the case with the original contest in 2002, this year's contest again had some hilarious entries. FORMAT/RULES: Every other week, a new photo will be posted here in order for some comic relief. Every time a new photo is posted, anyone may send in their entry. Limit one entry per person, per photo! If you send in more than one entry for a photo, we will not accept either entry. The photo will remain up for a week before entries are closed and a panel ranging five to seven judges will critique their favorites. Points are then awarded as follows points for 1st place, for 2nd, for 3rd, for 4th. These points are added to the entrant's total as we continue on to the next photo where the process repeats itself.
