For those of us not lucky enough to live in an NHL city, getting autographs can indeed be a challenge. Writing to players and asking them to sign a card or two has become an effective means for obtaining hockey autographs. What follows is a listing of players that sign through the mail, things to keep in mind when writing to players, potential problems that may be encountered, and my personal insider tips to "assist" your hockey autograph success via the mail.     SENATORS ANNOUNCE PLAYERS INVITED TO ROOKIE CAMP
    Laich, Colbert and Schubert highlight Ottawa line-up
    OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today the 22 players invited to attend the club’s fifth rookie camp and tournament from Wednesday, September 3 to Wednesday, September 10. The Senators’ hopefuls will go through medical testing on Wednesday, September 3, followed by a 4:30 p.m. practice at the Corel Centre. They will return to the ice on Thursday for two practice sessions and one other on Friday before focusing on the tournament, which also features rookie squads from Montreal and Carolina. The Senators and Canadiens have taken part in the rookie tournament for the past four years, while the Hurricanes are coming on for the first time. Ottawa won the first two tournaments in 1999 and 2000, Montreal won in 2001, and the Florida Panthers took last year’s title. The tournament schedule is as follows: Sat., Sept. 6 Ottawa vs Montreal 7 p.m.
