While he's not developing his hockey skills beyond those of his 6-year-old cousin, he's busy at work on his PhD in philosophy (from Cornell University Big Red !). The working title of his dissertation is "Modality Schmodality: Doin' Tha Minimal Linguistic Ersatzism Thang". Brad makes the dubious claim to have been a member of the 1994 and 1995 world champion Houston Rockets . His favorite cheese is Neufchatel Tip of the Day One forward should remain high in the slot, about halfway to the blue line, ready to skate back up the ice in a defensive role in case of a turnover.

AP Advertisement "There's no doubt that getting back to Vancouver at the end of last season was a positive in my hockey career and I'm very happy, May said. May had three goals, four assists and 42 penalty minutes in 23 games with Phoenix and Vancouver last season. He played in all 14 playoff games with the Canucks, recording 15 penalty minutes. "I know exactly what my role will be again," May said. "I'm an energy guy, I can change the game in one shift. "There's no question I am a role player but I have a lot to give." May was originally acquired by the Canucks in February 1998 and played 152 games for Vancouver before being traded to the Coyotes in June 2000. He came back to the Canucks at the trade deadline last March. In 734 career games, May has 115 goals, 140 assists and 1,800 penalty minutes. AP NEWS
