He wasn't all that good of a skater, because of his height, which made him feel awkward. The coach however saw promise in Zac and asked him to stay. Zac played with the Petes from 92-97. During his stint with the Petes he has won awards, such as the Leo Lalande award for best overage player, and he was goalie of the year in 97. :) He was also in net during the Memorial cup . His brother Sebastian belted out the Canadian national anthem, heavy metal style, and his sister Heather Dylan Bierk was in the stands watching. The most awsome part of all was his fathers painting of the queen hanging over him , while he stood in net. He was later drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1995, he was taken in the ninth round. During the draft zac sat patiently for his name to be called, and after the fifth round he gave up, walking out of the arena . He ended up in a pool hall somewhere in Edmonton . He came home some four hours later, and his father handed him a Lightning Jersey. During his time with the Lightning Zac had some pretty great momemts.Like for instance he stopped the great one, from scoring during a Ranger Lightining game. Zac also got his first assist in 2000:)His performance on the ice is steller, and very entertaining. He is always giving his all, in every game he plays . His talents are unbelievable, not only is he an awsome goalie, but he's a great tennis player to. I also find his photography skills to be very impressive . The proof is right in front of me, on my desk. zac has a book of photos taken during his day's with the Petes . It's a portrait of the team, and it includes a mini bio of each player .
