The 7-foot-1, 284- pound center has averaged 5.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 10.3 minutes per game in that span. Ronald Martinez/Allsport BEIJING (AP) Chinese basketball star Wang Zhizhi says playing in the NBA was like cruising onto the highway in high gear. Now he may have to shift down. Wang, a 7-foot-1 player who was the first Chinese-born man to play in the U.S. National Basketball Association, finished the season with the Dallas Mavericks after winning a sixth consecutive Chinese championship for his old team, the military-owned Bayi Rockets. "For me, before, playing was like driving a car in town.
