Will Brian Urlacher be able to live up to the extremely high standards Butkis and Singletary have set for Chicago Bears middle linebackers? I think so. Urlacher is only going into his fourth season and he is already one of the best defensive players in the league. His speed is unmatched by any linebacker except Ray Lewis and Anthony Simmons and he might be faster than them. Brian Urlacher does a great job against the run and is like an extra defensive back on pass defense. Don't forget he played safety in college. He gets to the ball as quick as anyone and does a great job of finishing off tackles. He will need to play huge this year if the Bears want to win. They have lost some decent players like Rosie Colvin and they haven't done too much to improve. With an anemic offense it will be up to the defense to carry the team. Hopefully Chicago's defensive line can stay healthy and keep the blockers off of Urlacher. I look for Brian to have around 140 tackles this upcoming season but the Bears will only win 3 or 4 games this year if they are lucky. The are looking terrible. The Brian Urlacher jersey remains one of the most popular jerseys this year and he is about the only reason to watch the Chicago Bears this year.
