He can no longer play trumpet following an emergency operation to fix an aneurism in the brain, but his other careers are enough to keep him very busy indeed! As a composer, he can produce sleezy, dark-sounding music as required for films like "In Cold Blood", "The Pawnbroker" and "In the Heat of the Night", but can also create lively upbeat music too. "The Italian Job" is the classic caper movie starring Michael Caine, Noel Coward, racing Minis and a great soundtrack by Quincy Jones. The title track is sung by Matt Munro in English and Italian, and other tracks are full of 60s kitsch including a jazzed up version of Greensleeves . Jones was staying in London to work on the movie with the ever-reliable lyricist Don Black, and was fascinated and amused by Cockney Rhyming Slang. But what are we to make of this dippy turn of the mouth? At a glance it seems pleasant enough, the sweet innocence of a baby with gas. It implies a generous helping of ego, self-satisfaction, and arrogance. Some see it as the smirk of a cobra, ruthless and deadly. Or maybe it's merely the smile of a fool. As I watched the Cowboys during training camp and the preseason, lurching about like left-footed geese, regressing into what is sure to be a milestone season of despair, I reached a discomforting conclusion. HPF: Robinson is being handed the starting cornerback job opposite Aaron Glenn, with incumbent Marcus Coleman moving inside to free safety. How do you think he will handle that challenge, and what are the areas in which he must show the most improvement? Rang: Robinson should be up to the challenge immediately, though he might struggle some with teams looking to pick on him playing opposite the proven, playmaking Glenn. Expect some inconsistency, of course, but by mid-season I expect him to have erased any doubts about his ability to start in the league, and by the middle of his second season, possibly established himself as one of the top young shut down corners in the league. Some things he still needs to work on, of course, are his ball skills and recognition in zone coverage.
