The ASCOM Platform 3.0 has been released, and may be downloaded from our downloads page . Here's the list of supported devices An updated TheSky Controlled Telescope Driver The ASCOM Telescope Version 2.0 specification has been adopted and is now official. See the News Release Welcome to Earth-Centered Universe and Pegasus , the latest additions to our Partners list. These programs uses ASCOM Telescope drivers for telescope control. This makes over 40 different programs that now use ASCOM standards! See the Partners Page for the list.
ASCOM Initiative Mission Statement
  • Establish a set of interface standards for scriptable or programmable low level control of astronomical instruments and related devices, and promote the use of these standard drivers from astronomy- related software applications. Provide a freely available set of instrument drivers that implement the standards established in (1). These drivers must be usable apart from any particular application, and directly from Windows Active Script languages and Automation based tools. Promote (but not absolutely require) open-source implementations of the drivers in (2).
