Kids have soccer and softball practices and games...people begin to take holiday time to camp on weekends. This can be seen as a problem within the life of the church...or not. This spring and summer, I want us not only to survive, but to thrive! It is mostly an attitudinal thing. If we see things as coasting over the summer months, that is exactly what will happen. But, if we see things are dynamic and not static, that we can see expect personal and corporate growth in our church, then we will see it become a reality. The good news? God does not go on holidays. I am believing God for the very best summer we have ever had. We will see new things burst forth. We are having our inaugural missions trip as four of our youth will be going on a work week to help people less fortunate than they. We have an exciting summer program planned during our public services in the months of July and August. Our Young Adults are hosting the "Keepin it Real" Conference specifically targeting Young Adults followed by an outreach to "Delta Days," a community activity planned by the city that we want to be involved with. And, of course, our kids and youth will be going to summer camp.
