Bunnie’s kaleidoscopic journey spans two decades as the search to uncover the mystery of her husband and baby’s disappearance spirals through time. This required Cormack to age accordingly. "It was certainly interesting," she says of the process, "but I imagine most people are comprised of fairly similar emotions. Some might be a little more experienced, but we all have the same basic things going on, they’re just at different levels and different times. And there are things that Bunnie goes through that I’ve experienced in my own life, so I certainly got a sense of what my character was feeling." One of New Zealand’s leading actors, Cormack was well prepared for the role. She earned international acclaim in 1997 for her role as Liz in Harry Sinclair’s highly successful feature "Topless Women Talk About Their Lives", for which she received Best Actress at the 1997 New Zealand Film and Television Awards, while her recent performance in Anthony McCarten’s "Via Satellite" drew further praise. She also attracted the attention of overseas producers to be cast starring opposite Linus Roach ("Priest") in "Siam Sunset", an Australian feature film, directed by John Polson. Cormack is currently starring in Harry Sinclair’s as yet untitled feature.

She helps Gabrielle learn how to fight with a staff, and aids Xena in her quest to make peace with the ccentaurs. She does become Gabrielle's friend, and when Gabrielle does not take on the position of Queen of the amazons Ephiny becomes Queen. She has one son Xenan by a centaur. Her centaur husband (?lover?) died just before Xenan was born. Ephiny has helped both Xena and hercules many a time. In a battle against Pompey, led by Brutus, Ephiny is killed in battle by Brutus. She died a heroic death. Marie DeValle - a fun character, that occurs in1789 in France. Our heros are in Paris. I don't remember that much else about it but if you watch be prepared for one of those silly Herc episodes we know so well :)

Xena delivered her centaur son, Xenan in the middle of the war zone. Ephiny was a good friend to Gabrielle when Xena "died" in The Quest, and when the renegade Amazon Velasca tried to take over she sided against her.

An accomplished actress on stage and screen before and since her Ephiny role, Whoosh! was fortunate enough to catch up with Ms. Cormack via telephone on June 5, 1997 and ask her some questions. She had just returned from Cannes, promoting a recent film in which she had a starring role, only to find her house had been burglarized in her absence. Amidst the attendant chaos of strangers in the house and caring for her new baby, she still graciously took time to answer questions and talk about her work, past, present, and future.
