Extractions: Brought to you as a Public Service By: "The Island Register" Visitors Since Aug. 28, 1997 ! Macphail House includes the restored "big" dining room, added by Macphail about 1911. With its large brick fireplace and lovely dining table it was used for entertaining summer visitors. Up the back stairs is Macphail's restored study/bedroon. At the top of the stairs, you will find the bedrooms in the main part of the house. The two small bedrooms on the east side of the house have information on Macphail, and on the 140 acre property. Down the main stairs is the restaurant on the right, in the former parlour/music room. To the left is the present parlour, and toward the back of the house is the library, which was the "little" dining room in Macphail's time. Through the main dining room you exit through the back door, which at one time led to the summer kitchen and maid's quarters, a separate building once attached to the main house. "Anns an tigh so, rugath Anndra Macphail a dh'eirich suas gu bhi na lighiche ainmeil agus 'na dheagh sgriobhadair.

Extractions: When death visits our families parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and God forbid, our own children we are caught in a whirlwind of emotions coupled with an urgent need to settle the final affairs. Far from our minds is the realization that in calmer moments ahead we will want the reminders which during the first stages of grief are too painful to sift through one by one.

Extractions: The whole concept of "eye candy" is something quite new to me. Until very recently, I didn't bother looking at people, of either gender, at all. I don't know why: perhaps it was because I didn't imagine having any kind of a sex life myself, so why look at the people I passed by on the street or in university halls or wherever? It's raining now, which is good to ward off any possibility of drought. My sinuses are itching, but the partially-completed treatment must have done something, else I'll look into acupuncture. I think I know how to tell my parents, but I'm still wary. I'm thinking of travelling far and wide, which is cool; I hate to say "personal growth," but that's what I'll be doing.
