Extractions: mother: It appears that Thomas Ingersoll moved from Derby to the Greater London area, where he became a ropemaker in Stepney.. Around 1625, he returned to Derby, where he was a shoemaker and the town crier. A town crier was not the figure of legend who called out the hours throughout the night. He was instead a paid town official who made official announcements at specified times to a populace that was still largely illiterate. The Derby rental roles include yearly payments by the borough; the rolls for 1677, 1677/78, 1680, and 1682 show that he was paid £2 12s a year for performing his duties.

IRELAND On February 24, 1890, at his residence, Panmure, George Edward Ireland , aged 55 years. IRELAND Died 28th August 1916, David Henry Ireland, husband of Elizabeth Ireland, and youngest son of the late William Ireland, of Point England, West Tamaki, aged 62 years. IRELAND Our citizens on Monday heard with surprise and regret of the death of Mr George E. Ireland , partner in the firm of Messrs Ireland Brothers, tanners and curriers, who expired at his residence, Panmure, that morning. Mr Ireland was a businessman of close on thirty years standing in this community, but took little part in public affairs. He had been ailing for some months past, Dr Davy being in attendance upon him. Mr Ireland arrived in Auckland in 1862, from Lincolnshire, with his brother, and for some years they carried on business as tanners and leather workers in Mechanic's Bay, afterwards removing their establishment to the Panmure lagoon. At that township for the past fifteen years or so Mr Ireland has resided, superintending the tannery operations. Some years ago he and Mrs Ireland, made a tour to the mother country, principally for the benefit of his health. Mr Ireland leaves a widow but no family. (1890) IRVINE

Extractions: In cooperation with the 175th anniversary of Missouri Statehood and in a way to honor our Pioneer forefathers, the Genealogical Society of Central Missouri ( GSCM ) started offering a certificate for direct descendants of any person residing in central Missouri before 1880. Those pioneers who arrived prior to 1850 will show a gold seal with blue ribbons affixed to the certificate. We hope this will be a cherished keepsake. Even after several months, the Pioneers of Central Missouri Certificate Program is still going strong! There are already many proud descendants who are busy framing and hanging the certificate that honors their ancestor who helped to settle CENTRAL MISSOURI before 1880. Below is a list of the ancestors whose descendant(s) have qualified for a certificate and the pioneers settlement date. If you would like additional genealogical information about these central Missouri pioneers, we will be happy to forward your e-mail or US mail to the contributor of the information for the descendants listed below.
