It's the third song I've heard off Emma Bunton's "Free Me" album and it's the best of the three! (The other two songs being the title song and "Tomorrow"). "Maybe" is very catchy with its ba-da-da-da's and a sound that just makes you wanna dance to Emma's dazzling voice. And what more does this CD single have to offer? The music video for "Maybe", which is also great! I think it makes the song a lot better than it already is (but the song's just great by itself). Extractions: Buddy Mondlock's acclaimed album 'Poetic Justice' was re- released in the UK and Ireland last February and the singer/songwriter is returning for a solo tour in Ireland this August. Bob Harris discovered his CDs and featured him live on a show broadcast from Nashville. The network then playlisted tracks from 'Poetic Justice' and last October Buddy played live on Richard Allinson's show. Mondlock has also played live on BBC London Live. Mondlock grew up in south suburban Chicago and in the early '80s he became a regular performer on the Chicago club scene. In 1986 he had a life-changing experience when he appeared at the Kerrville Folk Festival. He met Guy Clark, who took his tape to Bob Doyle of ASCAP. Through this connection he secured a publishing deal in Nashville. Eventually Doyle left ASCAP to manage Mondlock and another young writer, Garth Brooks.

I sent 36 emails requesting opinions and facts on free music downloading from the Net. I stated that I planned to adopt the viewpoint of devil's advocate: free Internet downloads are good for the music industry and its artists. I've received, to date, over 300 replies, every single one from someone legitimately "in the music business." What's more interesting than the emails are the phone calls. I don't know anyone at NARAS (home of the Grammy Awards), and I know Hilary Rosen (head of rhe Recording Industry Association of America, or RIAA) only vaguely. Yet within 24 hours of sending my original email, I'd received two messages from Rosen and four from NARAS requesting that I call to "discuss the article."
