Extractions: On the west side of Gulf Road, between Ridge Street and Columbus Street, this includes what was earlier referred to as the "Old Elyria" cemetery. Burials go back as far as 1817, and probably earlier. Heman Ely, 1775-1852, the founder of Elyria, and numerous members of his family are buried in the family plot here, in the southwest corner of the old cemetery, all enclosed within an iron fence. When Charles Arthur Ely sold the six lots to the city in 1854, he had reserved a section of Lot #153 for himself and descendants. A handsome Civil War Monument is the site of annual Memorial Day programs.
Extractions: The following compilation represents an index of personal names (and a few organizations) that appeared in Wallace's writings. To produce the index I examined every page of every item listed in the "Wallace Bibliography" list, keeping track both of each name that appeared, and how many times it appeared. Only those names that Wallace referred to in more than simple citation terms are included (i.e., names that appeared as part of systematic synonymies, straight citations, etc. are not included unless Wallace also mentioned the persons involved in some further fashion in the main text of his writing). Once I had a "raw" list of names, I attempted to verify and/or distinguish the persons involved using various reference tools (Wallace often refers to people by their last name only, so a few errors are possible in this regard).
Shuck/Shook Family Books Subjects Shook Collentine Grant Holmes Lemon Teehan . and five children were born;Thomas married Catherine son Isaac Jones Wardell (18461918) married Kate http://homepage.interaccess.com/~nealu/shbooks.htm
Extractions: The following are books about the Shuck/Shook surname which I have found through various references. I have not actually seen most of them and in many cases do not even know what lineage they describe. This list is divided into two sections where: 1) The Shuck/Shook surname is a major subject and 2) The Shuck/Shook surname is cited in just a few places. LDS FamilySearch Resources for more information. Some books may be available through inter-library loan, a program through which libraries borrow materials not in their permanent collection. Generally, family history books are part of libraries' reference collections and do not circulate. However, I have been able to find and borrow many materials I did not expect, so it is usually worth a try. See Inter-Library Loan for more information. Johann Klopp Descendants Buried in Nashville, Holmes Co., OH.6 They had the following Charlotte (18461918)92 iv. grandson (illegitimate son of Rose Agnes Adam and Thomas Leinbach) on http://www.greglasley.net/jkloppdesc.html
Extractions: My Great Great Grandmother was Rebecca Klopp who lived in Berks Co., PA in the 1800s. Prior to November, 2002, I had virtually no information about the Klopp line of my family, but through the kind generosity of John Klopp in Pennsylvania, Sharon Beth "Betsy" Klopp in Virginia, and Mary Clopp Bobbitt in Missouri, I have been able to flesh out this family to some extent. Below I present a register report concerning the descendants of Johann Klopp. I hope other Klopp researchers will find some of the information here of use. There are certainly mistakes in some of this data. I welcome and encourage any corrections. Visit my extensive Rootsweb family tree here
