Extractions: Saline, Saline Twp., Washtenaw Co., MI Oakhill Cemetery is on 3 acres of land that is situated on the east side of Macon Road between Braun and Willow Roads in Saline MI. It is owned and maintained by the Township of Saline. This cemetery was created from two deeds, the first 1 acre was given to the township by Duncan Robinson for a burying ground. The last 2 acres were given by Milton and Rachel Reynolds in 1874 to the Saline Central Burial Ground as it was known when. The name was changed to Oakhill on Oct 5, 1911. The cemetery officially came under the jurisdiction of Saline Township on Sep 5, 1873 by the dissolution of the Saline Central Burying Ground Corporation. Some of the stones are broken off or are in bad shape and can not be read fully so question marks (?) are in that place. A special thank you to Barbara Burns who transcribed this information.
