English 160 Policies And Guidelines Sarah Fielding (17101768), British novelist Isolation in creative work isan onerous thing. Better to have negative criticism than nothing at all. http://www.grossmont.net/karl.sherlock/English160/Policies/G160PoliciesFa03.htm
Extractions: In addition to participating actively in classroom discussions and exercises, contributing to workshops, and completing assigned readings, you will be required to write, write, and write some more. Your writing will issue from your original story ideas, and be crafted with attention to the various dramaturgical concepts that will be examined at length throughout the course. Additionally, you will be responsible for crafting parts of a full-length play in which you are involved collaboratively with other members of this class. This syllabus contains a course outline which clearly denotes what written and reading assignments are due on a daily and weekly basis. Please refer to it frequently. If you lose it, please ask for another copy from me. With characteristic anal retentiveness, I will probably have several dozen on hand.

Spotsylvania County Virginia Queries 2002 in Spotsylvania to Moses MORRIS and Sarah LUCK. ancestors was Jonathan CARPENTER (abt1710 1768), of Still was supposedly the daughter of Fielding LEWIS and http://www.rootsweb.com/~vaspotsy/s2002-1.htm
Extractions: 15 August 2002 I am a descendant of the union of Michael ROBINSON, b. Jan 1,1786 in Spotsylvania Co, VA, and Mary MAGEE, b. June 22, 1785 in Spotsylvania Co, VA. She was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (ROBINSON) MAGEE. Mary's mother (Mary ROBINSON) was a sister to Michael's father, Michael ROBINSON, Jr., thus making this Michael and Mary cousins. Confusing - especially since the names of man and wife for three consecutive generations were the same. Michael ROBINSON may have married second wife on Apr 3, 1838 - Mary PHILLIPS, b. Feb 22, 1808 in VA. I have no other information re Mary PHILLIPS except a grave marker in Mt. Zion Church cemetery, near Hallsville and Murry in Boone Co, MO., for "Mary O Robinson, wife of M. Robinson, who died 10/20/1878 at the age of 70 years, 7 months, 28 days". Please contact me if you have info or know of resources to prove (or disprove) this relationship and their children's names. Thank you for your help.

Extractions: The Collection reveals the intricate and richly-woven texture of the literary marketplace in this period. The generic diversity of women's writing is reflected in the collection's holdings of poetry (by writers such as Anne Finch, Felicia Hemans, Lady Mary Montagu, Elizabeth Rowe and Mary Tighe), drama (by the likes of Frances Brooke, Hannah Cowley, Elizabeth Inchbald), published letters (including those of Hester Thrale and Elizabeth Carter), cookery books, as well as memoirs and autobiographical writing by Charlotte Charke, Mary Robinson and Germaine de Stael. Women also, of course, played a vital part in debates upon female education in this period and the collection contains educational works and advice manuals by figures such as Anna Laetitia Barbauld, Sarah Trimmer and Priscilla Wakefield. This generic diversity is mirrored by the collection's thematic breadth. Readers interested in any of the following topics would find their interests well served by the Collection: eighteenth-century pre- or proto-feminism, poetry, education, romance fiction, sensibility and the sentimental novel, Gothic fiction, autobiography and the memoir, radicalism, conservatism and the 1790s, or Minerva Press writers.
