Directory Of Town Of Macedon 1867 1867 published by Hamilton Child Co., Syracuse, NY 1867. Eddy Underhill) Eddy Underhill (Marvin A. Eddy J., farmer 76 Smith, Dana S., miller Smith, Gideon http://www.rootsweb.com/~nywayne/gazetteer/macedongaz.html
Extractions: The Hamilton Child Company of Syracuse, New York produced directories of New York counties in the late 1860s. These directories are useful in conjunction with the 1870 US census, and are available at many New York State libraries and historical societies either in print or on microfilm. In producing these directories, a few residents may have been missed. Absence of a family or person does not always mean that they didn't live there. How to use the Wayne County Directory : Persons in the Wayne County Directory were listed under the post office where they received their mail. These directory listings were first organized by township. Within the townships the compilers made further list divisions - the official post offices located within the township. But residents living in some areas in a township may have received their mail at a post office in a neighboring township. In the case of Macedon, the compilers noted that all of the people below lived within Macedon township and the post offices where mail was received are noted in parentheses. Other township sections will be posted intermittently throughout 1998, in the order in which copies are sent to us by contributors and typed up. Interested in helping us type the lists? They'll be posted on our upcoming volunteers board as we receive them. We hope you spot your ancestor in the directory listings but... we have no information on individuals or families listed. The resources on our main page will give you further assistance.

Extractions: Pieper's World By Don Pieper / Staff Columnist "That's the secret strategy," Jack Tiedemann said when I told him about Ray Holm's lament. But, Ray says, "I didn't have time to read them all." Aha, the secret strategy at work. "He'll just have to come back," Jack says. Ray mentioned the Tiedemann collection after a recent column in which I listed some of the volumes I rely on as local history references. Now that he and Judy are operating a bed-and-breakfast overlooking the A.G. Village, they have made the books available to guests. After all, a lot of history was made just down the hill on Branch Street. q q q q q q The book was "Two Years Before the Mast" by Richard Henry Dana. The brig Pilgrim, on which Dana was a crewman, was gathering hides for New England leatherworks. Paul Mishler, the father-in-law of one of our sons, read that book. Paul is in the slaughter and meat processing business in Shipshewana, Ind., and he knows hides. Not just prices have changed. Paul says that for 60 years, his plant has used beef casing to stuff its ring bologna. "I just got a notice that we can't do that anymore because of mad cow disease," he says.

Extractions: In 1832, General William Huntington Russell and Alphonso Taft put together a super secret society for the elite children of the Anglo-American Wall Street banking establishment. William Huntington Russell's step-brother Samuel Russell ran "Russell & Co.", the world's largest drug Opium smuggling operation at the time. Alphonso Taft is the Grandfather of our ex-president Howard Taft. Only 15 seniors are picked each year by the former graduating class. They are required as a part of their initiation ceremony to lie naked in a coffin and recite their sexual history. This method allows other members to control the individual by threatening to reveal their innermost secrets if they do not "go-along". The Nostradamus Mabus Project has provided the complete list of the Skull and Bones society. We of course are not 100% sure if this list is the total authority of the Skull and Bones Membership, we might of missed some people and at the same time we might of included someone that didn't belong on the list, however this is our best shot from our research. The Skull and Bones Membership List Some Notables are John Kerry and George W. Bush.
Extractions: [Up] THE BURDINES AND LARUES: REBECCA 'SARAH ANN'(6) ca 1812-1834 Rebecca 'Sarah Ann' died at the age of about 22 in 1834. She was the second daughter and child of Isaac Calvert Chenoweth and Sarah Elizabeth 'Sally' Fairleigh who married in Hardin Co., KY on June 08, 1809. She married there, John Burdine, on July 09, 1829, when she was about 17. The origins of John are unknown at present, but he was also a native of Hardin County and about 27 when they married. Rebecca and John had two daughters, Mary and Sarah Maria, both very young when their mother died. They would both marry in Hardin County, Larue brothers, James C. and Samuel L., sons of Josiah 'Si' LaRue and Mary Castleman. Together these families moved to Crawford County, AR after the Civil war. From there many spread into Oklahoma.
Extractions: [Up] ABSOLOM(4) OF KNOX CO., TN 1827-1861 Absolom, the last born son of Richard Chenoweth and his wife, Ellen Hammer, was born on June 27, 1827 in Knox Co., TN. Richard was an astonishing 72 years old. It is apparent that his wife Ellen, just half Richard's age, did wonders for his vitality. Absolom is not mentioned in Richard's will, written 6 years before his birth. Accordingly, for this reason and the age of Richard, Richard and Shirley Harris were reluctant to list him as a son and included his line in the unknown section of their book. But Absolom is living with Ellen in the 1850 Census. There is an under 5 age son with Ellen in the 1830 census just after Richard died. Absolom was appointed the administrator of Richard's will in 1859 and upon his death two years later was replaced by his brother, Richard, Jr. Absolom married Absolom Chenoweth on September 04, 1845 in Knox Co., TN. He and Sarah had 7 children before his untimely death 16 years later at the age of 34. His widow, Martha remarried the following year to J.C. Dunn on March 22, 1862
