The work was published in 1992 and outlines the development of services for the "psychiatrically ill in South Australia 1939-1989". W.A. Dibden was a clinician and advocate of mental health issues. The creation of the biography was the result of a project to examine aspects of the history of psychiatry in South Australia since the Second World War. The text is available as a number of Adobe PDF files, reflecting the structure of the original work. The work also contains supporting documents and appendices which include the Mental Health Act (1976-77). To view the files it is necessary to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin installed.
