Extractions: Identify a standard set of attributes that characterize the contexts in which a CASE tool operates. These contexts are organizations, users, platforms, and other tools. The attributes in each context summarize the major factors affecting interconnection of the tool with that context. These are multi-dimensional attributes whose values are project-specific, organization-specific, professional, military, and/or international standards for these attributes are identified. This is an expansion of Section 2 of the original 1175-1995 standard. Purpose of Proposed Project: The attributes of CASE tool context are needed by software developers and process support personnel. They are a checklist of interconnection concerns which must be addressed when selecting, adopting, and using CASE tools. Analysis of a particular tool for these attributes can identify potential discrepancies in its operational interconnections that reduce or eliminate the value of the tools use in an organizations processes. By cataloguing and characterizing groups of tool implementation factors to be addressed, this recommended practice assists its users in organizing and using a large number of other industry standards to facilitate the design and realization of large, integrated, multi-vendor software engineering environments.

Imagine that your school has a resource of parents who can help translate, interpret, and communicate. This dream can become a reality if you begin a "Bilingual Parent Volunteers" program. Bilingual parent volunteers are school and community members who speak the languages of your ESL/bilingual population. They are a wonderful asset to classroom and ESL teachers. Starting this program is work. But in the end, your school will reap the benefits in years to come. Bilingual parent volunteers can work in the mainstream classroom with all first- year ESL students. Start by recruiting a few approachable parents. They do not have to be parents whose children are in ESL. In fact, more established bilingual parents will probably be more able to help. Ask them to help a new second language learner in the mainstream classroom for an hour a few times a week. Arrange for the volunteer and the classroom teacher to meet and set a time convenient for both. Once your have a few volunteers working with students successfully, the word will spread. Invite parents who are limited English speakers to help also. These parents can be an extra pair of hands in a large class. They can help with special projects, make photocopies of work, put up bulletin boards and complete other jobs.

Extractions: Road Watch Committee Committee Members Information About Road Watch In 1995, in Caledon, Ontario, eight young people lost their lives in a senseless crash on Mother's Day. A few months later six more lives were lost devastating the Caledon community. With the co-operation of police, local schools and citizens, a video was made to commemorate these lives and the negligent way in which they died. As a result, in 1995, Road Watch was conceived. For the first time Caledon citizens, supported by the local police, could report, in a non-threatening manner, any driver who displayed aggressive, risk-taking behaviour. This program is now being enforced in Ajax/Pickering and all other communities across the Durham Region. When you experience aggressive drivers, risk-takers or anyone breaking the law, you, the local citizen, can report the offense on a Citizen Report Form. These forms are located at countless Road Watch drop boxes in the region and a printable version is located in the Downloads section on this right side of this page. Try to identify as much information as possible (ie: license plate number, colour and type of vehicle, where the incident occurred and what you witnessed). The form must be signed to make the report legal and to protect the program from abuse. The signer's name will not be disclosed.

But let me tell you, not many pets have the oppertunity to live with loving and dedicated owners. Instead, they live in homes which cannot offer the love and kindness you give to your pets. They become abused and start to wither away and the, put in a small pound. The pound is so small that, over a short period of time, an animal must be put down. Not a pretty thought. This mostly happens in 3rd world countries but don't be that relieved, because the story I am going to tell you may change your perspective of how much dogs and animals get hurt each day and how little they are being cared for. I was going on a trip to Nicaragua in Central America. I had not seen my Grandmother in 4 years and I was very excited, but all that soon changed. On the 5th day of the two weeks we were to spend there, we were on our way to a hotel. Suddenly I saw a small building. It basically looked like a large worn out bathroom that looked like it could hardly fit 5 people inside. I glanced at the side door and my eyes widened in disbelief. The sign said, "Pet Shelter." I couldn't believe my eyes, but I stayed silent bearing the heavy heart inside of me. I thought to myself
