Roman Numismatic Gallery Portraits of roman emperors and families (women)on coins and sculptures, coins on provinces, buildings, victories, countermarks, legions, roman officials, military diploma, military equipment and armour. http://www.romancoins.info
Extractions: The webspace for this museum is provided free of charge by VCoins.com This is a strictly non-commercial museum. Nothing to sell, and nothing to buy. It does not represent specific collections, not even of a network of collectors (who could be that rich anyway ?) It is a completely virtual museum, with scans from various sources. It thus took a lot of enthusiasm, but no budget to set up this museum.

Extractions: Paper Dolls was founded in January 1999 by a group of women who were determined to show that women did not just sit home with the children waiting for their men during WWII. What had seemed like a silly conversation turned serious, as we realized that if we combined our efforts, and did things together, we could get much further in gaining the respect of historians and other Living History supporters. We portray women from all walks of life who each served their countries in their own unique way, from the hometown sweetheart to French Partisans. Some impressions include American Red Cross volunteers, Army and Nav Nurses, women soldiers in the ATS, WAAF, USMC, WAC, CWAC and WAVE, German DRK Nurses and Helferin, as well as the women pilots, and even Russian snipers and infantry women. We have impressions for almost every wartime nation. We do it all, and we are proud to do it well.

Selective Service Eyes Women's Draft WASHINGTON The chief of the Selective Service System has proposed registering women for the military draft and requiring that young Americans regularly http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/171522_draft01.html
Extractions: SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER WASHINGTON BUREAU WASHINGTON The chief of the Selective Service System has proposed registering women for the military draft and requiring that young Americans regularly inform the government about whether they have training in niche specialties needed in the armed services. The proposal, which the agency's acting Director Lewis Brodsky presented to senior Pentagon officials just before the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, also seeks to extend the age of draft registration to 34 years old, up from 25. The Selective Service System plan, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, highlights the extent to which agency officials have planned for an expanded military draft in case the administration and Congress would authorize one in the future. "In line with today's needs, the Selective Service System's structure, programs and activities should be re-engineered toward maintaining a national inventory of American men and, for the first time, women, ages 18 through 34, with an added focus on identifying individuals with critical skills," the agency said in a Feb. 11, 2003, proposal presented to senior Pentagon officials.
