Tents were set up and lunch was served picnic style. Got Milk Coolers were used to keep the milk cool and the students had a completely reimbursable lunch. Greenbrier East also collaborates with their Partner in Education to have a Greenbrier Day during the American Education Week. Chefs from the Greenbrier resort come in to help the cooks and Pro Start Class prepare the meal. There are ice carvers, music and table cloths. The gym is transformed into a lovely dining area. Elkview Middle School Kanawha County Patsy Stafford, Cafeteria Manager, noticed the overcrowding in the cafeteria each morning and the empty gym nearby. With the principal's support and the support of the physical education teacher, Elkview Middle School has a walking program for the students. Now, every morning students have the opportunity to have breakfast, walk, and go to home base class. Students are enjoying the less-crowded cafeteria and walking in the gym with their friends!
