Extractions: Australian Weather Data TRY weather data is available for all capitol cities and major regional centers. These have been converted to the WYEC2 format and are available as text (ASCII) that can be processed by the DOE-2 weather processor. Packed versions compatible with the PC version of FTI/DOE are also available. Contact P. C. Thomas The BinMaker Plus software includes four key components: the original BinMaker weather summary program, full-year TMY-2 hourly weather observations for 239 U.S. locations which work with the original BinMaker program, The interactive peak design data viewer, and ASHRAE Peak design data for 1459 domestic and international locations. Beyond just displaying peak design data from the 1997 ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals, BinMaker PLUS can convert any value into equivalent values of different units through pull-down boxes in the data viewer. For example, drybulb with mean coincident wetbulb can be converted to an enthalpy value with a single mouse-click. Likewise, moisture content in grains per lb can be converted to parts per million the same easy way. And of course, the user can select either Inch-lb or SI units. [Note: The original BinMaker program is no longer shipping.]

The weather data from this instrumentation will continue to be reported here as the ice floe drifts southward. What is the Lomonosov Ridge? About the Lomonosov ridge NOAA/PMEL instrumentation and web cams are typically deployed at the North Pole Borneo site, on the European side of the Lomonosov ridge. In April 2003, the NOAA weather station, ice-temperature buoy, two radiometers and two web cams were deployed at the Borneo site, and one ice-temperature buoy was deployed at the JAMSTEC site, on the Alaska side of the Lomonosov ridge.
