After much time of searching the committee found some land that was available near Genoa, NE located 2 miles north of Highway 22. The land was purchased, and the final signatures were placed on the documents in October of 1971. The camp has been going since then with many improvements made since the beginning days of the camp. Affiliation: Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp is a ministry of the Nebraska Association of Regular Baptist Churches. The NARBC is a group of fellowshipping, independent, fundamental Baptist churches who are affiliated with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Extractions: Phyllis S. Fraley PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN AMERICA The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) contributes to the ethos of the Atlanta community by teaching and encouraging its members to integrate life and faith. Unlike many activist organizations that lobby local, state, and federal governments for the enactment of laws, neither the PCA nor its churches attempts to represent its members in public matters. The PCA does encourage its members to be active in political and civic organizations. Consequently, the denomination is well represented in prison ministries, adoption services, pregnancy crisis centers, disaster relief, and many other such organizations in the communities where the churches are located. The PCA does humbly petition the government, when appropriate, regarding the significant moral issues that trouble our communities and nation. The Presbyterian Church in America also cooperates with other denominations and churches where there are common goals. One example is Quest Atlanta '96, in which 25 denominations and some 1,500 churches are working together. Quest Atlanta '96 is committed to unite the body of Christ to welcome the world during the Olympic Games in an effort to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God.

Indeed, we have this deep-seated sense of eternity, longing for some sense of eternal purpose and meaning to our lives. Only a relationship with Him can provide that meaning and satisfy our longing.

Extractions: The second Sunday of May is the day that the United States traditionally sets aside to honor and celebrate those precious people that God has given us, called mothers. Every year cards are purchased or made with loving hands, phone calls are placed, restaurants are packed, and gifts are given in an attempt to show appreciation to those who have given us much, both physically and spiritually. But do we really know the origins of this day? The issue of faith in the public arena just won't go away, and I say, "Amen." For decades secularists have vigorously tried to push faith out of the public marketplace and into the exclusive domain of things private and personal. They have even tried to rewrite history by saying that not only shouldn't faith have a role in the public life of America but that it never really did. All those stories about religious motivations among the founders are nothing more than legends. The secularists got it wrong then and they will continue to get it wrong; faith cannot be kept out of the marketplace.
