Extractions: HE TITANIC sank over ninety years ago but it has continued to interest and fascinate generations of readers, film makers, scientists and historians. The myth of the Titanic began even before the ship went down: newspapers columns used only superlatives when describing the liner. Shortly after the ship sank, people who had been booked to travel and had changed their plans, explained their change of mind as a premonition that the ship was ill-fated. A novel, "The Wreck of the Titan", published in 1898 is often touted as a literary prediction of the ship's fate. Fact and fiction have become entangled and created outlandish theories about the ship's fate and recounted terrifying premonitions of disaster. As with all good legends, the Titanic 's legacy is a curse. The release of the Hollywood film "Titanic" has made the ship a news story once again. The film is a plangent affair, with computer technology depicting the ship going down and a grafted on love story which crosses the social classes.

Review: Starship Titanic Starship titanic is full of puzzles that are entirely impossible to solve, unless you're Douglas Adams. http://www.eblong.com/zarf/gamerev/stitanic.html
Extractions: Official web page The Digital Village (creators); (publishers). Review written by Andrew Plotkin More than a decade after Infocom released the text games Hitchhiker's Guide and Bureaucracy , Douglas Adams returns to the computer gaming world with Starship Titanic Unfortunately, it's no good. Damn. I shall explain why, conforming to my usual habit when trashing games with fairly specific examples. So this review contains a bunch of spoilers. On the other hand, my big complaint is that the game is unsolvable without cheating, so maybe that's okay. Up to you. The scenario is straightforward. You're sitting at home, and this spaceship crashes into it. Into your home, that is. Well, precisely, the bottommost tip of the docking keel crashes into your home. The spaceship itself is bigger. A bit. It is called "Titanic", after all.
