Following a highly successful 2004 outdoor campaign, Concordia head coach Marv Roeske was named the United States Track Coaches Association (USTCA) Central Region Coach of the Year. The award caps a year, where Roeske's Cobbers won the MIAC title and placed five athletes in the NCAA Division III National Meet. Earlier in the month, Roeske was named the MIAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year. For Roeske, it marks the first time in his career that he earns regional honors for the outdoor season. He was named the USTCA Central Region Indoor Coach of the Year in 1998. He has also earned MIAC Coach of the Year honors in 1998 and 1999.

Extractions: Junior attacker Cassie Abel, who helped lead the Colorado College women's lacrosse team to a 13-3 record and its first-ever appearance in an NCAA Regional championship game, was named a first-team All-American by U.S. Lacrosse. Abel is the first player in the 10-year history of CC women's lacrosse to earn first-team All-America honors. Junior midfielder Lizzie Franke and sophomore midfielder Helen Sneath were both named to the second team. The trio joins Emily Walker (1996 and '97) and Mary Everett (1998 and '99) as the only Tigers to earn All-America honors twice. Freshman attacker Kate Fitzgerald and freshman midfielder Robin Harvey were named to the West Region second team. Junior forward Michael Reich has been named a First-Team College Division All-American by the Jewish Sports Review, becoming the first-ever Tiger to earn such distinction from the New York-based publication. Reich led CC in points (19.9) and assists per game (2.3) this season, while finishing second on the team with 5.4 rebounds per contest. He helped Colorado College to its first NCAA Division III tournament appearance since 1992 and its best overall record (15-10) since 1996-97. Other players named to the JSR first team were forward Elad Inbar (UMass Lowell), forward Matt Kaitz (Carnegie Mellon), center Seth Hauben (Rochester) and guard Uri Grunwald (UMass Lowell).
