Students participate in intensive group interviews with Washington politicians, lobbyists, and other professionals. The group is housed in hotel accommodations. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: SANTO DOMINGO (Fall/Spring/Full Year) - Prerequisite: Previous participation in the Santiago, Dominican Republic program or 3 years of of college Spanish. Program: Study focuses on history, culture, and current socioeconomic and political issues in the Dominican Republic. Based in Santo Domingo, the program includes a practicum where students are placed in field settings to gain exposure to development issues and to participate in social service programs. Students live with host families. Fulfills the two-course international studies and overseas study requirements for the Hispanic Studies major.
