Very often Once a week When the opportunity presents itself Health Warnings Colombia's yellow fever vaccination policy 28 May '04 The Colombian Ministry of Environment now requires visitors to its national parks along the Atlantic coast to show proof of yellow fever vaccination at least 10 days before travel. Last year through mid-March 2004, cases of yellow fever were reported from the departments of Guajira, Magdalena, Cesar, and Meta. Since the government has conducted a mass vaccination campaign and instituted vector control measures, the outbreak has waned. On 16 May, four bombs exploded in Ankara and Istanbul, targeting branches of a British-owned bank. The attacks occurred in advance of British Prime Minister Tony Blair's visit for talks with Turkish leaders, but caused only minor damage. On May 20, another small blast occurred near a Western fast food outlet in Istanbul. Those travelling to Turkey should exercise caution in all places.
