The rate of fossil fuel consumption is growing, and in return, the amount of natural resources the Earth possesses is depleting. In order for more natural resources to be found, companies must destroy land; in effect, making way for the modern world. Also, as many people know, the exhaust from a car causes damage to the ozone layer that surrounds the earth and keeps harmful ultraviolet rays from entering our atmosphere and causing a plethora of problems. It is true that hybrid and electrical cars are being made, but those are presently too expensive to maintain, so people do not bother with them. Cars are a harmful luxurious item that many people take for granted, and therefore do not realize the damage it causes to the world we live in.
