The old buildings and communities they built remind us how they lived, and their tombstones teach us how they must have felt about death. Here, we take nothing for granted. We fight hard to preserve the beauty of this land. I sometimes feel an urgency to photograph these natural resources so that there will be a record of how pristine all of this once was and can be again. Shakespeare Theater - Ashland, OR Ashland is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and easygoing places I have ever lived. There is a lot of emphasis on beauty and quality of life. Life has a different pace there, and one can actually pause to take notice of the subtleties of being alive. I believe that the theater is at least partly responsible for these virtues.
