Science Concepts in the form of concept development, demonstrations, labs and activities and teaching tips. A list of annotated Science Links that are categorized by subject or organization. In addition, we are constructing a site that also attends to our Professional Development as teachers. The design, maintenance, and contents of this web site have primarily been the work of teacher candidates enrolled in the secondary-school science panel of the Bachelor of Education program at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Science Concepts T his page contains the complete list of the major concepts involved in teaching Science in the Secondary Classroom. The concepts are divided into Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Science. Each major concept is listed and linked to its list of Concept Development, Demos, Tips and Labs/Activites. M ost web sites for science teachers focus exclusively on lesson plans, demonstrations, and ideas to assist them in improving the presentation of science subject matter. The following is a page of links to examples of how a science teacher can enhance the quality of the teaching and learning experiences of his/her students. By problematizing our own teaching and learning, we can begin to conduct "research" on our own practice in order to enhance the experiences of all learners, including our own.

Wizard Of Oz Lesson Plans some suggestions of what other areas similar lessons can be this movie, Return to Oz (1985), or in general. of Quarks A Fantasy of Particle physics by Robert http://www.eskimo.com/~tiktok/ozteach.html
Extractions: These lesson plans are not intended to be complete, but merely to suggest directions a Wizard of Oz -themed lesson can go. For this reason, I have decided not to give any sort of grade range. It is up to the teachers, who know their students and their abilities, to adapt these ideas for their classes. (It should be noted that many of these plans are based on the original novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz , which the famous movie is based on, but there are some differences.) These ideas were given to me by Jane Albright of the International Wizard of Oz Club; Susan Bradshaw, a kindergarten teacher in St. Louis, Missouri; Deb Polun, a graduate student at the University of Connecticut; Merewyn DiLiberto; and the L. Frank Baum Oz Festival's Education Task Force in Aberdeen, South Dakota. I've also added a few ideas of my own, and the contributors of other individual ideas are also acknowledged. Don't let the somewhat arbitrary labels throw you, there is a lot of interdisciplinary learning here, and I give some suggestions of what other areas similar lessons can be applied.
