We started this website 9 years ago for one very simplistic reason, to furnish wildlife photographers with as much information as we can provide so you can make the most of your photographic pursuits. Much has changed over those nine years besides just the website design! I was shooting with the F4e when I first launched the site.The F5 came along and the website exploded with content. Now, it's all digital and I love it! The digital information on our website is not your normal digital content. Curves, pixels, test patterns and the like won't be found on moose395.net. The reason, while I need to know that trivia, I'm a photographer and all of my tests derive from real world situtations. My results then are 100% baised by the person behind the camera. The information I have on the website are user reports. I highly recommend you read them carefully AFTER you've looked at the images (with a calibrated monitor) and think it all through to get the most of all that's available here.

Right - Some boys and girls were so small they had to climb up on to the spinning frame to mend broken threads and to put back the empty bobbins. Bibb Mill No. 1. Macon, Ga. Left - One of the spinners in Whitnel Cotton Mill. She was 51 inches high. Has been in the mill one year. Sometimes works at night. Runs 4 sides - 48 cents a day. When asked how old she was, she hesitated, then said, "I don't remember," then added confidentially, "I'm not old enough to work, but do just the same." Out of 50 employees, there were ten children about her size. Whitnel, N.C. Mid - The overseer said apologetically, "She just happened in." She was working steadily. The mills seem full of youngsters who "just happened in" or "are helping sister." Newberry, S.C.
