    Extractions: The curriculum, pointed out in the previous report, has been revised a couple of times and in 1994 a preliminary version was published. Our educational authorities set their hopes on an overwhelming public discussion among the teachers, scientists and other people related to the curriculum development process. Unfortunately it seems that the resonance was not as active as was expected for various reasons. Our teachers' current low economic position and their permanent attention to the vague dispute are among those. However despite everything the work on the curriculum progressed and in 1995, after only one year, a new version of the curriculum was published. In the first version of the curriculum philosophy was included into the framework of social subjects. In this framework it was intended to be the last stage of long-term studies called "the study of man". The content included the most essential problems of philosophical anthropology. A keen discussion arose concerning the place of philosopher among other subjects and finally it was agreed that it deserves a separate position and relevant title in the curriculum. It seems to be an advantage as well that teachers have two alternative syllabuses of philosophy to choose among, dealing respectively with the problems of philosophical anthropology and basic classical philosophical problems. Schools are free to choose their 35 hours of compulsory coursework.
