Among these Reserves are spoken the Aanishnaabeg and Ogwehoweh languages. These two language families are also commonly referred to as Algonkian and Iroquoian languages. The Aanishnaabeg languages were originally spoken by what is known as the Three Fires Confederacy Nations and they are the: Ojibwe Potawatomi and Odawa .
