Extractions: Oklahoma City Community College's Cooperative Technical Education programs can give students an edge when beginning a college career, completing an Associate of Applied Science degree, or accumulating college credit for job enhancement purposes. OKCCC and three area technology centers, Francis Tuttle, Metro Tech and Moore Norman, have created partnerships to allow students, high school and adult, in cooperatively offered degree programs earn college credit towards an Associates of Applied Science degree while attending the Technology Center. This partnership offers students an opportunity to reduce the time it takes to complete a degree giving the student an educational advantage that employers are looking for in today's competitive world. High School Students High school students can qualify to apply for future college credit by attending one of the three Technology Centers. To qualify for college credit, high school students must enroll in a cooperatively offered degree program at the Technology Center, earn a letter grade of "A" or "B", and have a signed Letter of Intent on file at the Technology Center. To collect these credits students must: complete high school, enroll with OKCCC, and complete 12 credit hours of college credit. An administrative fee is charged for adding these courses to an OKCCC official transcript. The credit is applied to the degree program being pursued and a letter grade of "S" is transcribed.

Extractions: You are here: Home Staff Resources Echoes May 2004 Announcements I invite your review of President Larry Edward Penley's inaugural address of April 22, 2004. It's available at: president.colostate.edu/inauguration We will need to implement elements of the academic strategic plan related to university outreach and service to the state of Colorado. This will include county Extension offices representing Colorado State University more broadly offering the knowledge from the university to the citizens across the state and assisting with areas like student recruitment. Cooperative Extension will implement our futuring plan, program planning and decade planning in an organized and coordinated way. We will work with university partners for identification of expertise across Extension, research and teaching where decisions will need to be made about statewide program thrusts that define Cooperative Extension's capability in the areas of agriculture and healthy communities which includes 4-H. And depending on the November 2 election outcome from legislative initiatives or citizen initiatives about our state's budget situation, we will likely need to develop scenarios and carry on conversations and discussions about the options and consequences of alternatives for Cooperative Extension now and into the future.
