Extractions: Remember, it is critical that your project matches the funder's guidelines. You will waste both your time and the grant-maker's if you submit a proposal that does not match the grantor's funding initiatives. The SchoolGrants focus is primarily schools within the United States. There are, however, often opportunities available that extend to our Canadian neighbors. Most of such opportunities are found on the Nationwide Opportunities pages. If you know of opportunities that are not listed on the SchoolGrants site, we would appreciate you letting me know about them! It is the SchoolGrants goal to provide as many opportunities as possible to benefit our Nation's children and their schools. This is only possible with your help and assistance.

Extractions: Legal Services K-12 Community Colleges ... Sun Education Promotions Like any modern enterprise, K-12 districts and schools use complex software systems to manage information, analyze and report on data, and automate processes. Unfortunately, these systems are proprietary and often times unable to share information without costly and time-consuming customization work (if they can share it at all). Information entered into one system must be replicated to other systems by hand. Once the data is entered and re-entered, retrieving it for analysis and reporting is usually more trouble than it's worth. At Alphanumeric, we're focusing on providing solutions to solve these business problems for school districts using industry standards. Prove It!

Extractions: At this level, the Outreach office of the Duke-UNC Program in Latin American Studies focuses on strengthening relationships with NC schools, providing Latin American resources for classroom use and aiding educators abilities to incorporate Latin American content in language, social studies, communications and art instruction. This is accomplished through professional development workshops, a lending library of Latin American materials, school visit programs, artists in schools programs and traveling art exhibits. The Outreach office has developed a three-year program to help educators learn more about the Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican world and provide techniques, curriculum material, and hands on experience which can be easily integrated into today's elementary, middle, and secondary school curricula. In 1998 and 1999 two workshops were organized by the Duke-UNC programs, and in the year 2000 sixteen teachers who participated in those workshops had the opportunity to participate in a two week field trip to Mexico.
