Chop Point accepts International and U.S. students. Both a five-day and a seven-day a week program is offered to students for the academic year. Resident students do their own laundry and help a few hours a week in the cleaning of the home and the general maintenance of the property. We encourage good conduct through building genuine and warm relationships between staff and students. There is no value more important and basic to a happy and productive life than honesty. We will work patiently and kindly with those young people who break any of the few Chop Point policies if that student is sincere about putting things right. Depending on availability and preference, students live with families in boarding facilities on the property or nearby. Full-time boarding students (7-days a week) are involved in planning weekend social activities. Activities may include trips to Quebec City, New York City, the beaches of North Carolina, Washington D.C., Cape Cod, the White Mountains, and the Moosehead Lake region for ice fishing.
