They are heading for the business center in Basera to register for food distribution. Hundreds of people have gathered in Basera, a village in southern Zimbabwe's Gutu province. Here, long-time Church World Service partner, Christian Care (CC), is registering villagers, with a goal of reaching more than 83,000 people for general feeding and nearly 43,000 children under five for supplementary feeding in Gutu and Umguza provinces. In addition, it is providing drought-tolerant seeds to some 15,513 households to enable them to produce their own food next season.
