Extractions: (January 2, 1995) On January 3, 1995, it was agreed that the Astronomy and Astrophysics pages in the WWW Virtual-Library at CERN, which are maintained by Sergio Paoli at La Plata, will be computed from the AstroWeb database, and that links in those pages which are not already in the AstroWeb database will be added to the database. Beginning April 3, the Virtual-Library pages are being computed from the AstroWeb database. Astronomy/Astrophysics on the Internet Welcome to AstroWeb - a collection of pointers to astronomy-related information available on the Internet. The database is maintained by the AstroWeb Consortium , a collaboration involving 9 individuals at 7 institutions. These CERN - La Plata AstroWeb pages are recomputed at about 06:30 UT each day, if the master database has been changed. Data Publications People Organizations Software

The Cactus Code Server . The development of an astrophysics Simulation Collaboratory joins 5 institutions. Washington University; Rutgers University; http://www.cactuscode.org/Development/ASC.html
Extractions: more Mailing Lists Search CactusCode: The development of an Astrophysics Simulation Collaboratory joins 5 institutions in an NSF funded Knowledge and Distributed Intelligence program. The aims of the collaboratory are to develop tools for the collaborative research into problems of relativistic astrophysics. Central to the idea of the Collaboratory is the development of an Astrophysics Portal for the management and submission of large scale simulations using a wide range of computer resources. The portal is deployed on the ASC Grid , a testbed of supercomputing resources including machines at the NCSA, AHPCC, AEI, Washington University and SDSC. The development of the Astrophysics Simulation Collaboratory is being pursued with the involvement of the Cactus Team and collaborators. The ASC project will benefit Cactus mainly through the development of Simulation Portal The ASC portal is being built specifically around the Cactus code, although many of the components will be applicable to general simulation portals. This portal will not only bring new users to Cactus, but will help existing users make full and easy use of their available computing resources. We expect the ASC portal to serve as a prototype for a general Cactus Portal.
