It is located in a marvellous countryside next to a lake on the grounds of a former 14th century monastery. This living museum of history gives the visitor fascinating insights into the former way of life in a rural area. There are already 16 originally rebuilt farms - it is still to be extended - but even now visitors can discover the past. The visitor gets an impression of the daily work of farmers, craftsmen, day labourers, herdsmen and midwives in a typical rural village. He is able to receive an authentic picture of the living and working conditions in the past.
