Africa Relief Hunger Update been estimated that more than 14 million people in southern as well as home care through indigenous volunteers, to reached the regions of Nkhota kota and Mzuzu http://www.bgcworld.org/wrelief/update_safrica0703.htm
Extractions: It has been estimated that more than 14 million people in southern Africa have been affected by the food crisis that continued through 2002 and into 2003. Harvests failed in Zimbabwe and erratic weather, including floods and landslides, damaged maturing crops in Malawi in early 2003. Flooding that took place at the end of 2002 in Mozambique constrained the transportation networks there. HIV/AIDS has compounded the devastation. In the six southern African countries most affected by the food shortages, one in four adults live with HIV/AIDS and more than 2.5 million children have been left behind as orphans as a result of the disease. With the world's highest HIV/AIDS prevalence rates, the work force is dying, with crops dwindling and food security plunging. Food distributions through churches in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe reached out to the poorest of the poor, including families with heads of household who are female (often widows) or are living with HIV/AIDS and those families who support children ages five and younger, nursing or pregnant women, HIV/AIDS orphans, elderly or handicapped. Whenever possible, the food security efforts have been integrated alongside World Relief's Mobilizing for Life (HIV/AIDS) and child survival programs, that offer church-based educational projects, as well as home care through indigenous volunteers, to thousands in need.

Nonetheless, it is pertinent to note that anthropologists have only recently begun to be forthcoming on the subject of warfare. As Hallpike (1973) bluntly puts it, warfare is a 'form of behaviour which particularly horrifies intellectuals'. If, as Fukui and Turton (1979) suggest, those intellectuals happen to be anthropologists, their aversion may be compounded by the fact that 'warfare is one of those rare topics of anthropological research, the overwhelming practical significance of which is immediately apparent to the non-anthropologist'.
