I was excited to see that Kansas' teachers and schools are meeting many of these new challenges. In talking with students and parents, they consistently relayed the importance they place on education in view of what is truly becoming a world economy. Students today appreciate that what happens elsewhere can affect their community and that world events have a direct impact on their future.
