Under the MEDA programme Jordan has so far received, due to its advanced position in the implementation of the Association Agreement, to its absorption capacity and commitment to the Barcelona Process (broad trade liberalisation and related economic reforms), a total of € 423 million (€ 254 million under MEDA I and until now € 169 million under MEDA II), proving to be one of the better absorption capacity Mediterranean partners on a per capita basis.

UNDP is assisting the Government in planning the physical rollout of the centers, the strategies on content development and provision, training and outreach to the communities, and establishing business plans to ensure economic-social stainability of the Centers.
