Paula Burch's Lunisolar Calendar (Lunar Calendar) Calendar with lunations, from new moon to new moon, instead of months. Moon phase on each day. Chinese, Jewish, and islamic months. Eclipses, meteors, planets, star charts. Christian, Pagan, islamic, Hindu, and Jewish holidays. http://www.flash.net/~pburch/lunarcal.html
Extractions: Thank you to all of you who have been asking for the 2004 edition of the Lunisolar calendar. Yes, there will be one! I regret the fact that my ill health has delayed the completion of the calendar. I spent the third week of December (or part of the final quarter of the Cold Moon) in the hospital, and yet we still have little idea of what illness it is that is making it almost impossible for me to walk. However, I am working while lying down, in between doctor's appointments, and hope to have the new calendar up here well before the old one ends on January 20.

Islamic Law Infobase English language text of islamic law, organized by subject. http://www.nyazee.com/islaw
Extractions: Islamic law, for the purpose of distribution of material from this site, has been classified into sixteen titles. Further classifications can be seen by following the links. A major goal for this infobase is to provide English translations of the works of the earlier jurists, sometimes called the classical jurists. The Advanced Legal Studies Institute has commenced work on some translations and these will be made available as soon as they are ready. As this is a huge task, the Institute hopes that scholars who have translated some works, or plan to do so, will make a contribution to this site. In addition to the translations, the works of modern scholars, who contribute to this site, will also be placed here for free downloading. A beginning has already been made, and we feel that our collection will grow substantially. The Islamic Law Series announced by the Institue is expected to support this infobase in a big way. Documents on Islamic banking have been classified separately and they form an independent infobase. TITLE 01: THE TEXTUAL SOURCES OF ISLAMIC LAW
Several Calendars Learn some basic information about the Egyptian, Roman, Gregorian, Mayan, islamic, Jewish, and Julian calendars. Also learn how to calculate Easter. http://www.ortelius.de/kalender/idx_en.html
Extractions: Author Calendrical Calculator deutsch Basics of Time Reckoning When does the new year of the Jewish Calendar start? Why are Orthodox Churches celebrating Christmas in January? Which is the date of Easter this year? Answers to these, and many more questions are to be found in this project. Many calendars are treated here, beginning with the ancient Egyptian calendar, the the Roman and the French Revolutionary calendars to the Gregorian calendar, which is the calendar used in most countries. In addition, one can convert dates of several calendars with the Calendrical Calculator , and a section on the calculation of Easter is available, too. Using the Easter Calculator one can compute the date of Easter of a given year. The beginning of the year 2000 was celebrated all throughout the world with major events. But, the determination of the beginning of our counting of the years was a quite deliberate act. There is nothing special on this 1 January 2000. First, it must be mentioned that the third millenium only started with 1 January 2001. The first millenium began with the year 1, thus the last year of the first millenium was the year 1000, because a millenium has a thousand years. The year 1000 being counted as the first year of the second millenium would result in the first millenium having only 999 years. Therefore, the new millenium did not begin until 1 January 2001.
