Extractions: The Liahona Homeschool Support Group was started in 1988 to provide an organized opportunity for Latter-day Saint homeschooling families in Orange County, California to meet together. Since that time, we have continued to meet every Wednesday for field trips, park days, and other activities. Although we are predominately LDS, we do not have a "statement of faith" and anyone is welcome. Although most of the activities will be in Northern Orange County, you can live anywhere in the area. Annual dues are $20 per family, but those who plan a field trip get a $10 refund. Email Debbie Benjamin for more information or to join. "And now my son, I have somewhat to say concerning the thing which our fathers call a ball or director - or our fathers called it Liahona, which is being interpreted, a compass, and the Lord prepared it... it did work for them according to their faith in God, therefore if they had faith to believe that God could cause that those spindles should point the way they should go, behold it was done; therefore they had this miracle and also many other miracles wrought by the power of God." ~Alma 37:38-40, The Book of Mormon*
