Annie's Halloween Email Page The halloween page was my first holiday page and it was the most difficult to Iuse them to teach and educate the public about the REAL history behind each http://www.annieshomepage.com/halloweenemail.html
Extractions: This is the fifth season for my Halloween pages. I have received LOTS of Halloween email. Not all of it has been "kind". Some of the negative email is even from Christians. The Halloween page was my first holiday page and it was the most difficult to complete. I have tried to take all of the "regular" American holidays and create pages from a Christian perspective. I use them to teach and educate the public about the REAL history behind each holiday. Many homeschool families use them for unit studies. The Halloween pages have caused quite a stir. Each person seems quite impassioned by the subject. I really didn't have any idea of how much emotion a page could create. My objective was NOT to JUDGE others. That is not my responsibility. We are all accountable for our own actions to the Lord. As Christians we have the Holy Spirit who does the convicting in our lives. We have the Scriptures to teach and guide us. So what Annie thinks really doesn't matter at all. If someone has a desire to change and changes comes from other peoples opinions then it will never last. Real change will only last if the Lord burdens you to do it. Rules and regulations are not what being a Christian is all about. "To whom much is given much is required". We are all accountable for our own actions and each one of our words.
Annie's Halloween Email Examples Page we teach them the true meaning of Christmas, EAster,,,, we teach them Gods word andnow my grandchildren,,, would never even hear of halloween being connected http://www.annieshomepage.com/halloweenemail2.html
Extractions: I am glad as an American we still have the right to freedom of speech and that we both have the opportunity to express our opinions. What a privilege we have as Americans to live in a country that we have the freedom to express those opinions without the fear of arrest, death or persecution. I have come to the realization that not everyone will agree with my opinions......and that is just fine. I am a Christian. I believe that the Bible is the Inspired word of God. My page was not intended to be done in a judging way. I have actually been trying to share with others what the Bible says about the different topics that relate to the holiday. Of course, the purpose of my page was not to offend or judge others, but to inform. I have tried to present the facts in a creative way. That way you can make a more educated choice. Then you will know what you believe and why. Thank you again for writing.

Contact Joslin Carbohydrate counting is one of several different ways people with diabetes can manage their food intake to keep their blood sugars as close to normal as possible. It entails determining the grams of carbohydrate (carb) in each meal and snack. The reason people with diabetes focus on counting grams of carbohydrate is that carbohydrates tend to have the greatest effect on blood sugar. Most of the carbohydrate we eat comes from starch (bread, cereal, rice, pasta), sugar (desserts), fructose (fruit), lactose (milk), and fiber. Vegetables also contain some carbs, but mostly as fiber, which has a minimal impact on blood sugar; foods in the meat and fat groups contain very few carbs. While many think that people with diabetes should avoid all forms of sugar, in fact, most people with diabetes can eat foods containing sugar as long as the total amount of carbohydrate (carb)
Halloween Ideas halloween boxes = This is an old game and works well for some kids, but don t force any one to do it!! You first of all teach some unusual body http://www.genkienglish.net/halloween.htm
Extractions: One of the easiest holidays to teach to kids is Hallowe'en as there are so many great games that you can play! Most of them don't teach very much English, but culture is very important. One point to bear in mind is that the modern Hallowe'en is mainly an American tradition, in England or Australia we don't really do that much for Hallowe'en!! It's still fun though! This is a cool game to play outside during lunchbreak. Simply fill a deep barrel full of water and put some apples in. One kid at a time, with their hands tied behind their back, comes and tries to pick up one of the apples with their teeth! If they fail 3 times, a new kid has a go. (And thanks to Dennis of Nagano-ken for suggesting using vodka instead of water for more grown up students!). Another variation is to have an apple dangling from the ceiling by a string. I had this great idea whilst having a meeting in Kagawa prefecture. First of all you prepare several sets of simple Hallowe'en costumes. Examples could be a sheet for a ghost, a hat for a witch or a mask for a wolf man, or whatever!! You split the kids into teams and each team has a full set of costumes. The teacher shouts out a word, e.g. "ghost", and the front kid from each group has to run to the costumes and put on the correct one! The fastest kid gets 2 points, if the other kids got the correct costume they get 1 point!

Extractions: Tis this season when vampires, ninjas and fairy princesses descend on cities and towns across the country, crying out "trick or treat." But an evening of scary Halloween fun can turn into a real nightmare if your son or daughter is injured or victimized. So before you let your little ones loose into the night, make sure your family reviews these tips for having a safe and enjoyable Halloween. * Never let your children roam the streets alone. Unsupervised children are prime targets for kidnappers and child predators. Young children should always be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperone when trick or treating or traveling to organized parties. Older children should always trick or treat with a group. * Tell your children to never accept candy, rides or anything from strangers. The same rules for dealing with strangers that apply 364 days of the year still hold true for Halloween, even more so. Your children should be on high alert for strangers while participating in Halloween activities. Teach them it's OK to say no to unfamiliar adults and to scream, make a scene and run away if someone tries to grab them or force them to go with him or her.

As part of the requirements for an elementary education degree from the College of Education, K-State education students are required to take a class called Art for Elementary Schools. "This class gives students the experience to learn about teaching art and interacting with elementary students in the art classroom," Lynda Andrus, K-State teacher for the class, said. "Not all of these students are art teachers there are just a lot of schools that will need them to teach art. That's what this class helps teach." The Wonder Workshop, at 409 Poyntz Ave., serves as the environment for these elementary students. Students from Manhattan who attend the workshop are broken into different clubs and meet at the workshop once a week. Thursdays are art-club days, and this Thursday, students were learning about African art by painting pumpkins with bright colors and geometric designs.
