It supports a Link Directory Search, FFA/FFAL (Free For All Links), and Reciprocal Link Directory. Link Directories let web sites have many hundreds or even thousands of worthwhile links that their clients may find interesting. It also facilitates reciprocal links which in turn helps a web site's Search Engine Rank, thus increasing web site visits. Updated Tuesday, June 3, 2003. Raven Links Directory is a free program for FFA/FFAL (Free For All Links) or Reciprocal Links. Written in Perl, it will let any webmaster add a links directory. It uses a flat file database which should be good for up to several thousand or so links. It only uses two modules that come with most Perl installations so there is no need to install external modules in most cases. Instead of sub-categories it supports Super-Categories which is much easier and more efficient. Configuring the script is very simple and consists of setting the Admin name and password, and then changing a couple of things on a single HTML template. Admin maintenance is also very easy using a simple web interface. Raven Links Directory lets you setup a links directory that can look just like Yahoo of anything else you might want it to look like. Clients (website visitors) click on a category and they are taken to a listing of websites for that category. Clients can also add a link to the directory if you allow. There is also a search feature that allows clients to search through the links. If it is setup as a Reciprocal Link Directory then the client can add a link but they must add your link to their links page. The whole reason for Raven Links Directory is to make maintaining a links page much easier.
