Topics to be covered include the study of how drugs are absorbed and distributed in organs and tissues; what chemical alterations a drug may undergo in the body; and how drugs are stored in the body and eliminated from it. The kinetics of drug absorption and tissue distribution will be mathematically modeled to better understand how drugs are processed in vivo. How the physical and chemical properties of the active agent relate to the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination will also be probed. The time course of drug and metabolite levels in different fluids, tissues, and excreta of the body, and of the mathematical relationships required to interpret such data will be discussed. In addition, the delivery of bioactive agents from pharmaceutical dosage forms will be evaluated.

Homework Help For Kids Kindergarten - High School You may not be a math teacher, but thankfully there are ways you can help your kids Tell them stories about the great engineering feats throughout history. http://www.linkup-parents.com/homeworkhelp.htm
Extractions: H O M E W O R K H E L P by Murdo Macleod Uh oh. Your kids arrive home with their school reports and it's poor marks from the math department. Now what do you do? You may not be a math teacher, but thankfully there are ways you can help your kids improve their grades. Studies have shown that children are much more likely to perform well in a subject that interests them. So here are 5 ways to get your kids excited about math and actually looking forward to the next math class: 1. Inspire them. Some kids don't enjoy math because they just can't see the point of it. Unlike reading or painting, all those mathematical symbols and numbers don't seem to mean anything. What you need to do is show them how important math is in the real world. Tell them stories about the great engineering feats throughout history. From building the great pyramids of Egypt, to the Hoover dam, to the latest space missions to Mars, nothing would have been achieved without mathematics, and mathematicians.

Extractions: You say things aren't going quite the way you'd like this semester, especially in your ten o'clock class? The professor just covers the board with equations and doesn't explain anything? The textbook is dry as dust and doesn't have worked-out examples? The exam problems are nothing like the homework and class averages are in the 40's? First, though, let me suggest that the real problem is not that professor who's making your life miserable. It's that over the years you've bought into a message that goes like this: " My teachers have the truth, the wisdom, the tricks of the trade. Their job is to feed it all to me in lectures, and my job is to soak it up and then repeat it on homework and exams. If I can do that, I've learned what I need to know...and that's the only way I can learn it

Extractions: ERLANGER - Students worldwide seek help with their homework every day from 14-year old Erlanger resident Samantha Kampsen. They come from around the United States, Canada, Norway and Australia with questions in algebra, biology and history. And the straight-A, eighth-grade student from St. Cecilia School in Independence doesn't mind at all. "I enjoy helping people," said Samantha. "It's a great feeling knowing you make a difference." Samantha started the Homework Hotline Web site in July. The bulletin-board format allows students in all grades anywhere in the world to post questions and receive help from her and others logged on. In the first two months there were about 1,000 visits to the site, but very few posts, leading Samantha to think "it might go down the tubes." But today, with more than 24,000 visits, 1,600 posts and 77 registered members, the site is a hit with those seeking free, online tutoring. "We have a lot of college, high school and middle school kids, but it's mostly high schoolers," said Samantha. "Many of the questions I don't know the answers to, but I do research to help these people out."
