Extractions: UP In "Founding Church of Scientology v United States", the Court of Claims found that some of the Founding Churchs money inured to the individual benefit of LRH and family. This included a house maintained by the Church, a percentage of the Churchs income, and other royalties and commissions. The court based its finding of inurement on informal loans made to LRH that were never explained. Criminal Time Track: Issue III ...Tricky Dick (Nixon) finally did make it into the White House. And by then he had developed his own special hit list of all those people or groups who had ever crossed him. Just as LRH predicted, Nixon couldn't wait to abuse the power of his office to make his critics pay. Frustrated with the inability of the US Government to put a halt to Scientology, Nixon instituted secret intelligence programs designed to accomplish that purpose. A secret IRS unit known as "the special services staff" was set up to target individuals and groups it labeled as so-called activists. The groups and individuals to be targeted by this special unit were on a list that the press later termed 'the Nixon/IRS enemies list". And right at the top of that list were L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology.

"I posted a concern in the NEAOnline/Western Region/Utah Messages Board section of AOL regarding the following quote from the Utah Education Association President: "Utah Education Association President Lily Eskelsen believes that most teachers do not oppose the new bill, but they do view the provisions on teacher conduct as unnecessary. 'We've never really gotten an answer on what exactly we're trying to make teachers do or prevent them from doing that isn't already covered in Utah law,' she said. I have received the following replies from her. I'm passing this along, FYI. " Subj: Response to "Incredulous Words from UEA" From: LEskelsen@nea.org As president of the UEA I was also incredulous when I read the quote attributed to me regarding the state legislature's apparent decision to challenge the federal Equal Access law in an attempt to prevent gay and lesbian high school students from meeting on campus. Please, do not believe everything you read in the newspapers.
