The torque converter consists of four primary components: Cover - the cover (also referred to as a front) is the outside half of the housing toward the engine side from the weld line. The cover serves to attach the converter to the flywheel (engine) and contain the fluid. While the cover is not actively involved in the characteristics of the performance, it is important that the cover remain rigid under stress (torsional and thrust stress and the tremendous hydraulic pressure generated by the torque converter internally.) Turbine - the turbine rides within the cover and is attached to the drive train via a spline fit to the input shaft of the transmission. When the turbine moves, the car moves. Stator - the stator can be described as the "brain" of the torque converter, although the stator is by no means the sole determiner of converter function and characteristics. The stator, which changes fluid flow between the turbine and pump, is what makes a torque converter a torque converter (multiplier) and not a fluid coupler.

Extractions: There is a chaos as far as the Indian languages in electronic form are concerned. Neither can one exchange the notes in Indian languages as conveniently as in English language, nor can one perform search on texts in Indian languages available over the web. This is so because the texts are being stored in font dependent glyph codes. The glyph coding schemes for these fonts is typically different for different fonts. To view the content of these sites then one requires these fonts on local machine. This site provides conversion programs for converting the text in one font-glyphs into another. Also it provides conversion programs from the font glyphs to iscii and vice versa. If you have texts which are font specific, you can convert them to ISCII (standard character coding scheme) or to another font. After conversion you can view or perform other operations on the texts. (These converters are needed because most Indian texts are stored using font-based encoding rather than character based encoding such as ISCII or Unicode.) Currently, converters are available only among Devanagari fonts.

Extractions: I keep all rights to those circuits myself. You may freely build those circuits to yourself and your friends, but commercial use of those circuits is not allowed. NOTE: Those circuits are old designs from time when I was not so good in electronics than I am now. All of the designs are not very good and I would do those circuits today differenly. For example the first DAC circuit is not very accururate and R2R construction would give much better performance. JDAC and CENT_DAC are both simple Digital to Analogue converter to use with your IBM PC/AT or compatible. Those circuit are connected to Centronics parallel port and does not affect the normal port usage in any way. The circuits are transparent to computer, so it is not possible to program to see if those devices are connected or not. JDAC and CENT_DAC are designed to give your computer good quality audio output without great expenses. JDAC and CENT_DAC are designed to use with programs which supports them. Those programs include game programs which support Covox Speech Thing and some great Finnish shareware programs like B's Wave Center and Scream Tracker. JDAC is a simple, inexpensive and easy to build. The sound quality is good, but not best possible. Enough good circuit for most of cases. The output level is about 0.4V pp. It can be altered by changing the value of R9. Higher resistance in R9 means higher output voltage. If R9 is left open, the output level is about 5V pp.
